contest Growdown Throwdown 2017 Aji Lemon Drop!

I'm afraid I'm out of the contest. We had a freeze last night and it killed my lemon drop, and most of my other chilli plants :(

No chance to start over? Last weekend was my traditional planting day, unless your first frost of fall is in late August I think you have plenty of time.

I am sorry for the loss, though. It has happened to me more than I'd have liked.

Yes, I will start over but I'm not sure which varieties yet...

Sorry about your plants Marc. We've all been there and know how much work and love goes into a grow.

Good luck with the rest of your grow!

Sorry to hear that, Marc - I hope there were a few survivors.

Did you just loose all leaves? The stem will often survive a few frosts and pop right back within a few weeks with new growth.

Didn't look pretty. I removed the damaged parts but I guess all is not lost. Better than starting all over again! :)

My two are so stunted, they will remain in the grow but no way will they be a contender for any kind of pod production I expect.

Learned a lot this winter...next yr I will be doing things very different for better success.

I think the stronger parts of the stem survived. There's still hope! :)
Alright, Marc!  Keep us posted!

Let's up the ante and add some SPICE to this contest. Who ever has the heaviest first harvest wins a runner up crown and honorable mention? Sound cool?

Now, I wouldn't advise stalling just to win that, because you'd probably be sabotaging a harvest flow/production rate in some way, but it would still be neat to see who gets the biggest first harvest.
