vendor Nuts (.com)

I was purchasing our annual nut order from Nuts.com, the usual Pecans, Walnuts, Brasils etc. except *Almonds. I was looking around for something fun and tasty when I found these Habanero Pistachios. OMG these are good! They don't melt your face off but not everything has to for me. You could always add a drop of PE to each one if that floats your boat but the flavor is killer!

If you like nuts, seeds or sweet treats, I highly recommend Nuts.com, especially these Pistachios. Their products are so fresh!

*I myself am not buying Almonds anymore. It takes a full gallon of water to produce 1 Almond and California is fucked enough over there water problem. Tom Sellec is stealing it all. lol

Nowhere does the list of ingredients say "habanero". I am automatically suspicious when a product labelled to have a certain flavor or ingredient not have it listed. As yummy as tricalcium phosphate is (and we all KNOW it is), there is no telling where the heat is coming from, unless maltodextrin has been reformulated.....but it does contain celery, I'll give them that....

You don't have to eat them.

I will.

I hate when companies say "spices" but then list a bunch of other spices.... wtf are these mystery spices then!

It's habanero powder. Lots of saucemakers do this you'd have to ask them why. But I know MANY bottles that do this.

I heard somewhere that if the ingredient is less than like, 1% or some such "insignificant" amount, it doesn't have to be listed, or it can be grouped into "spices". But don't hold me to that. It's a good question for Salsa Lade or SmokenFire might know.

Other times it also might be proprietary, like sometimes if they listed all the ingredients of say, a spice blend, then you would be able to make their recipe yourself. Maybe? I dunno...

Here it is listed second. So it is not less than 1%. My best guess it is the hab powder. Who cares? Does it taste good? ;)
