Using powdered aloe vera on pepper plants

Has anyone used this before for peppers and have you had great success? Noticed that some will use this for in ground or raised in ground beds to help with drought tolerance as well as pest prevention with great success.
 
Wow very cool I'll have to extract some Aloe from my plants and try this. I gave away a dozen mature plants last summer to make room for my peppers lol. 
 
I am getting this from build a soil. Will be adding this in with the other thenjngs I do on a regular basis feeding wise for the garden.
