This came across my FB page about Cuisinart Food Processor blades from 1996 - 2015. Evidently, they break and/or shatter. I just checked mine, and one of our two is cracked at the rivets on the bottom side.

I have the DLC.  Checked after I saw this post and I have the same cracks as Scovie.  Good looking out partner.  :D
 
Looks like the replacement blade I bought from eBay 7-8 years ago is in the recall.  The base unit is circa 1988, knock on wood, still going strong.  But I did replace the original S-blade because it did exactly what this recall is saying.
 
 
 
Holy crap, are you kidding me right now!!?!?!

WTF is that??? That's their fix? I am done with Quisnshart. That blade is effen CHEAP looking. I had a coffee maker that didn't last a year and their panini maker is cheap as shit too, and the prices don't reflect their cheapness. I have half a mind to take a sledge hammer to all my Cuisnshart stuff, box it up and ship it back to them.

I will stick with WARING and Breville. Fuck Cuisinshart.
Thanks for posting that pic Stettoman, now I know I don't want their crap "fixed" blades. And I have two Of their food processors. meh~
