Plantout date with no frost?

Hey guys,

Back home in the Netherlands I used the last frost date as a guideline for planting out. Recently I've moved to Portugal and there is no frost here in winter. Now this sounds exciting at first, but it actually made me confused about the date to plant out. What should I use as a guideline now? Night or day temps? Sun hours? The info I can find on internet just keeps mentioning the last frost date. I'm clueless, and I hope one of you can shine some light!

Thanks in advance.

Soil temp IMO.

When your soil temp is above 10°C before the AM sun warms it, time to put seedlings in the garden.

i dont know Celsius but i go by above 50 degree Fahrenheit round the clock good to go... I dont think sunlight hours make a difference... some is better than none and as long as it above 50, they will grow.. slow at first till the hours and temp increase but still grow... im talking super hots here, the chinese... dont know if the other species can do colder or not...

Thanks for all the answers! I guess that would mean plantout is in May to June here. A bit later than I thought hoped for, but luckily we have pots :)
