baccatum Aji White Lightning Bolt

I'm starting this thread so if anyone is wondering what aji white lightning bolt is. I have added these seeds to the trump seed train and will be adding more to another seed train soon.

To those that do not know, last season I received some seeds from a seed train - THP member Bpiela.

They were labeled aji penec, but once they grew out we figured it was either a cross or possibly a mutation. (It's been racking my brain trying to figure out who the dad is.)LOL
Greatfully, we finally figured it out.

(Aji Penec X Aji Melocoton.)
These pods have there own unique shapes to them. They start off as a VERY light green and start turning an off whitish color, then if left long enough, they turn a creamish or very light peachish color. Some not all started to develop a purple hue to the pods only in the late season, around August or september +.
There's VERY little seeds in each pod. I have never noticed any soapy after taste in these. They have a great flavor and have medium baccatum heat.

I've never eaten either aji penec or aji melocoton, so I cannot compare them to this cross.

Below Are Some pictures snd some pods From the plant I grew this season.

Really cool pepper.  I have never tasted Penec(but they sound like good peppers from Judy's website) but Melocoton peppers are very good so I can imagine this would be a tasty, moderate heat combination.  I will be interesting to see what comes in future generations.  I will be growing smileygu697's  Tepin x Lemon Drop cross for the 4th season in '17.  It's been fun to watch for what the peppers will be like in each new generation.

Keep saving seeds.  I'd enjoy doing a trade sometime.

I tried one of the ones you sent... A bit hotter then I prefer my snacking peppers, but good over all.
cool, I was glad to send you a few. I gave some to a friend at my work and he thought they were on the hot side, but to me I eat almost always superhots, so my tounge and mouth don't really feel much burn from baccatums.

Did you only grow one plant?  If so, you should plant several more from that lot of seed and see what you get - certainly don't waste the seed.

And, get several plants going from seed from this plant.

And aren't I generous with your growing space!

I grew the tepin X lemondrop last season and boy does that plant PRODUCE. That's a very tasty variety.

I will be over wintering the mother plant and
I saved every single seed on the aji white lightning bolt for the reason of stabilizing these genetics and also share some with my second family on THP. People have been good to me and I will always give back.

Send me your pm, there are some with your name on them.

These look fantastic, love them!

I wonder what the F2 will turn out like?
there will be some differences, but I will only keep seeds from the F2, thats if they are identical to the F1 mother. I will throw away any seeds that are not like the F1 mother, unless there is something VERY special.

Wow, that is very exciting when you get something unique like that.... Congrats!!!

Lovepeppers, do you still have some of the original seeds?  I wonder if any are actual Penec's or are they all crossed...  I still have a bunch of those original seeds.  I should grow them out this year and hopefully get some more F1's.

Actually I just seen my baggie, I took about 4 ot 5 from your baggie, but the first seed sprouted so I didn't have to germinate any more. Maybe I will grow another from that baggie and see what happens.
