Paul,

Have you ever been to the Green Future in Wilsonville? They have great prices and Mike and Edwin are very helpful and knowledgeable. Tell them Jeremy sent you.
I don't get that direction much, Jeremy, but
thanks for the tip - should the occasion arise
I will definitely mention your name.

You definitely should...I get 100% of my gardening supplies there. They have some stuff you can't find anywhere else.

Looking good Paul!

Glad to see you have some Pubes going, they do so well in your climate. I have several going that need to get outside. The weather has been decent for them, except for one day where the winds got crazy...my bad

Booooooooooooooom

lots happening here Paul and all looking great ......Seedlings with grow leaves look very healthy indeed and you look set for a bumper season.

Good luck with your whole grow , got some real good flavours in there .......

I can imagine that the pubescens with their
growth habit wouldn't like the wind all that
much!

Here's to a bumper crop of Rocotos and
Manzanos this season, brother

Hey, Sim, thanks for dropping in!  These are all tried
and true varieties here, the BOC and Aji Lemon Drop
are the only new varieties - looking forward to some
new experiences!

Hope your season is bonkers!

I can't believe how tenacious some seeds are.
Two new hooks today in the original transplanted
Jiffy Pellets - BOC Refining Fire, and Caribbean
Red Habanero CPI. 88/162 = 54% :hmm:
However I can smile since I'll probably   have a
sufficient number of plants   ;)  from those that
have germinated.

Ajis starting to look a little tired, so decided it
was time to pot up to the 2-liter (2.43 qt.) square pots.
These are 51/4 inches square and 61/4 inches tall.  I use
these rather than "gallons" ( really 3qts = 96 oz.) since
they are practically the same size and easier to move around.

Lemon Drops.  The yellow leaves came off after
these pics were taken.

Looking good Paul, all your plants look great and your Lemon Drops are beastly already!  I'll be holding off potting on for now due to space limitations, my next pot size is 1l and I also introduce some 'special' growing medium at this point too.

Did you make the PDN x Bonda Ma Jacques cross?  It looks great, beautiful plant.  What are the pods like, at F5 must be starting to approach stability?

No, it's Trippa's cross - see comments below...

Aji envy here.

My lemon drop isn't so prolific, but it has no yellow leaves ;) ...  Haha, buddy

I thought of square pots, but am trying out the gallon bags this time around. Good luck, I hope mine do so well!
I think they just used up a lot of the nutrients in the
soil and were starting to get root bound.  They will
start getting regular feedings after a couple of waterings.

I used gallon grow bags for a couple of seasons.
They work great, but it's difficult getting the rootball
out at transplant time.  the good news is that the
roots are fine and bushy, so that makes the rootball
dense.  They do use more water, as others have noted.

Your PDN x Bonda F5s are looking identical to mine Paul. Looks like it is very close to stable
I really think we are there, Tristen!  These look
identical to the last two generations.  If the pods
are also consistent, I think we're good to go

I'm going to start a thread dedicated to this cross,
and am going to try for as many seeds as possible
so we can begin spreading the cross out.  I'll include
a few past photos and keep track of how it's doing
this season.

Hopefully, the F6 and F7 generations will play out
as we desire...

They're getting big. Good to see those roots. You're off to a stellar season once again Paul.
Thanks, Uros - we always roll pretty well until
June, then the cool, rainy weather sorts of puts
the skids on things, and it takes a month for
them to come around again

Very nice Paul!

I'll be upgrading pots as well this weekend.
How'd that go, buddy?  I'm going to wait a few days
before I do the next half - they are about a week or
10 days behind those already potted up.  The Manzanos
and Rococos will be among the last to pot up.

nice purple - Yes, Trippa did a great job on this one - awesome
heat and flavor, and beautiful as an ornamental.  the white pods
on the dark purple foliage make a striking picture.
