Thanks, my friend- in the second day of a pair
of 100F days. Fortunately the evening breeze
is still a bit cooler this time of year, so it's bearable.

About 97F right now:

Later - I lied . Just went in and checked, 104F in
the back yard sun

The Aji Amarillo in the #2 pots get some extra shade
this kind of weather:

The plants actually seem to be doing okay in spite of all.
They get lots of water in this heat. The irrigation is
dialed in so that's one less worry! Humidity varies
from 35ish-80ish percent. We're heading into a 10-day
a stretch of more seasonable weather with highs in
70's and 80's.

Wow Paul! We were told we'd be facing 100+ temps here but it's been downright cold for June. I don't envy your heat, we're back into the 70s here.

Those Amarillos put mine to shame, brutha....

That's a good sign that they handled the heat well. Usually when the temps jump from the 70's to the 100's they have a hard time. Hopefully that humidity was at the low end of the scale when it hit 100°!

Unfortunately no pods to absorb it, Charles!
Plants haven't really begun flowering and
setting pods, yet.

We're into a stretch of 70's and 80's here, now, Eric.

Yeah, Scott, 30% daytime. It would be Nagadoches, Texas otherwise!
Hope I spelled that right. Spent two weeks there one July.
Here's to the perfect growing weather

We are in as good as it gets, here, Scott. Warm and sunny afternoons
with some morning clouds to keep the heat down. Still no real flowering
and/or pod-setting. Can't wait for the effect of more consistent weather
to kick in!

These BOC and MoA get pretty intense sun:

Makes them look a little peaked:

This MoA gets a fair amount of shade:

Of all the BOC, this one looks the best:

At least they are starting to put out a lot more new growth.
Been a long time coming!

Well, I see f***ing PhotoBucket has finally gone over the edge.
What a crock of s**t. They want 40 dollars a month to allow
third party hosting of their images. Not only that, they have
the most obtrusive ad structure on the internet. I'm switching
to Imgur, but can't figure out how to link their images to this site.

Hay Paul, I'm so technichally illiterate that I just use f acebook asa host. settings on only me, insert url here and it's free...except for what Zuckerberg thinks he owns, which is all of it....

Hi Paul,

I used to own an ISP and secured the devtex.net domain in 1996. I still own it and I pay $10 a month via networksolutions.com to have them host a server there for me. Luckily for LB and I we still have enough ex dial-up customers who want to keep the old email address, so they cover our costs.

But wait, I thought an "extreme" account offered photo storage? And yes Imgur seems to deny 3rd party linking.

No, these are Padrons, 2nd generation! will be interesting
to see what the summer pods look like. The seed pods
were huge, and looked more like Poblanos:
