Buncha MALARKY 2017

Welcome to my first Glog everyone. This is my second grow. Thanks to the generosity of the THP community I am in possession of more varieties of seeds than I'll ever be able to grow. I have limited yard space and I try to keep things cheap to make this hobby less annoying to my wife.

So I'm located outside of Madison, WI. Zone 5a/4b
My goal is grow a wider variety of heat this year.

First 4 varieties Soaking:
-Aji LemonDrop (contest)
-Aji Amarillo
-Peruvian Red Rocotto
-Aji Oro

It's just the beginning. I need to grab some more of these cups for soaking.

Hey Matt, I have a dozen different aji amarillos that look like a dozen different kinds of pepper plants, one looks like your fat-bottomed girl there. I lost all but the top two leaves on it and side nodes started doing their thing immediately.
 
My rocotos are still thumb-sized seedlings, though they look like healthy thumb-sized seedlings. Glad to see your podding going on at 65 degrees....
 
Looks like she's gonna make it! The Aji Amarillo that dampened off (all i can guess, cuz it was well over 12in tall).
Didn't take too long to put roots down.

Aji Oro is setting pods like crazy. Interesting dark pigmentation for only being under T12's. This pods getting bigger every day.

I need to start hardening them off but the thought of lugging all these pots downstairs makes me want to do something else.
lows are still in the 30's and 40s i'd say 50% of the time. Dirt day or "bucket day" is still at least after Mother's Day.
Those Pubescen's mind the chilly nights?
 
Nice save on the Aji Amarillo!
 
The c. pubescens can handle the chilly nights.  I've got
mine outside right now, and one of the nights got down
to 33˚F (1˚C) and they did fine.  If it wasn't for the wind,
rain and hail, they'd be rockin'!

Your Aji Oro pods in that pic kind of look like Aji Largo. Aji largo pods are generally more elongated like that, and cam go from super dark green to dark brown to light red, then finally dark red. The plant looks super healthy, and I bet will give you a ton of pods this season.

The key limes are a little less than a year old so no fruit yet.
We'll see what they do over the summer.
I'm hoping to see it thicken up even more and then this fall I'll prune it back and maybe pick a couple good branches to develop
 
So I found an Aerogarden 6 spacesaver with cfl lights at a garage sale for $30. They even threw in an unopened DynaGro bottle! Can't wait to try it out and clone stuff.

Here is one of my Aji Oro. This thing produces pollen like a champ. Sets a pod on every flower. its probably more than 3 feet wide. The larger pods are starting to grow hips like i've seen in the pictures.

Definitely un-like that! what do those hailstones weigh... Half a pound apiece? My plants got hit by a few pea-sized hailstones on Saturday night but thankfully not like the ones you showed! [emoji28]
