Pex's 2017 GrowLog

Hey guys and gals! Welcome to the '17 Glog!

I recently moved to my new house that has an awesome feature for growing and overwintering...

A SOUTHERN FACING FLORIDA SUN ROOM!

All I have planted at the moment are my SB7J seeds still going from Patrick's Original cross. (Scotch Bonnet x Jonah 7), Judy's White 7 Pot, and Bleeding Borg 9.

The BORG 9 and White 7 are up already with one or two SB7J already. I use my 400 watt Metal Halide at night with an 18/6 light schedule (18 hours on and 6 hours off.) I use Coco Coir to sprout my seeds. The Christmas tree in the background is from a clone and that is two weeks of growth and measures 9 inches tall from one inch when I originally got it.

What is a cgn21500?? Just wondering. I feel you on the need to plant more seeds. I have an aero grow with some starting in it. I made a unit like an aero garden that has 5 awro-pods in it and I have a bunch in my back room. I'm sure I will be planting a few more after all the ones in the hydro setups sprout and root....

CGN 21500 is well worth the grow. They are similar to Chiero Roxa. Great taste and up front heat. There is a really good review on them.

Ironically, I asked this a little while ago and today in the mail I got a package from wickedmike that contained a LARGE assortment of seeds, and the cgn21500 is one of them. Thank you for the info. Great to know

CGN 21500 is a wonderful tasting pepper. The texture to me was almost radish-like and they're really juicy. Here's Nigel's comparison review.

Pex, you chose some great varieties to grow this year. I'm growing SB7J again this year that you gave me seeds for. It produced some gnarly, great-shaped pods that had an excellent flavor. Good luck with your new location!

Awesome! Do you have pictures?

So those of you who know me know that I am about efficiency unless its doing a load of wash. This has been on my wishlist for awhile a Nanolux 315 watt CMH light. It puts out twice as much usable light as an HPS light of equal wattage. I just had to get it. That being said, if you need your own HPS/MH grow light grab mine right here. But here is the unboxing of it.

Nanolux 315 Watt CMH. I bought this because it is much more efficient than a standard High Pressure Sodium lamp. Yay for going green!

Yay! 400 DOLLAR STYROFOAM! oh wait, there seems to be something underneath it...

Got that Reflector. it was pretty easy to attach to the light socket.

Above you have the 10+ ft power cord, on the bottom left you have the Ballast, and to the right of that you have the Light Socket/Hanger

So my other half wanted to do something today, so she built me a brick raised bed! originally there was some half dead rose bushes and weeds. Dug em all out, she laid the bricks over the landscape fabric, and then hereeeee ya go! Soil is a mixture of Mushroom Compost, Coco Coir for water retention (dry as shit here), and FoxFarm Ocean Forest to push it over the edge. This is some HOT soil, so make sure your plants are big enough to handle it. This raised bed is right outside my back door, it's going to be great to walk out and pick a chili to wake up haha.

Here's a bonus picture. Some of my plants are in the vicinity of 2 feet tall!!!!

Congrats on the new raised bed. That's awesome of the other half to do that for you. Peppers are looking great man. Keep it up, how's the 84 pot loud scout primo doing? And pods forming for me yet
