Anyone growing micro tomatoes?

I'm interested in trying some micro varieties, to complement the dwarf varieties that I already grow.
Anybody Micro Tom?  Mohamed? Others?

If so, please share your thoughts, and possibly your seeds!

I ordered some dwarf species of tomatoes for next season. I'll have to look through my emails to find the source. This will be my first season growing them.

Here is where I ordered my seeds

Yeah, that's a great seed source.  I ordered all of my dwarf seeds the first season that I grew them from the the dwarf tomato project.

I think you'll be pleased, especially if you're relegated to container growing.

I'm going to grow some in ground and in containers and see which way is best in my garden. I like having the option to move them from the 100* plus weather in containers.

I don't really have an in-ground option, but to be perfectly honest, with smaller plants, I feel like I have more efficient use of resources.  By that statement, I mean, that I always get bigger yields from containers, relative to the amount of work that I put into them.  That being said, I also don't have fertile soil.

I got over 30 lbs of tomatoes off of one tomato plant this year in a 5 gallon bucket.  It was a large variety that isn't even recommended for that size container.  I think it will be great to see someone do a side-by-side comparison of in-ground vs container grow on dwarf varieties.  Hopefully you'll glog that...

Tomatoville.  Yeah, it's a cult.  Not a great forum - especially when you don't agree with everyone else on every single issue.

I grow Micro Tom and Florida Petite and am trying to develop a few better micro varieties.

Micro Tom grows less than 10cm (4 inch) and usually only produce about 10 small tomatoes.  They are ok but certainly not the most amazing tasting.  The Florida Petite grow up to about 15cm tall, are slightly more productive, but not as tasty as Micro Tom.  They are far from productive, but they can grow in a cup of soil.  I am located in Australia, I don't know if I can post seeds to you but if you think they are ok with quarantine I can send you some.

I tried to join tomatoville, for some reason I was never able.  It said I had joined and needed a moderator to click ok but that has never happened so I can't post or reply to threads.  I tried to join again but it says I am already a member.  Very frustrating.

I have traded seeds out of country a fair bit. I'll PM you. Thanks for your reply.
.
By the way - don't waste your time with the cult of Tomatoville. I'm not sure why they even still have a forum. The moderator is a control freak, and I think he checks his email about once a year. You'll be approved for membership the moment that you forget you joined.
.
I was a member, but I had a disagreement with some of the members in "The Lounge", and they weren't quite emotionally adjusted well enough to handle dissent. So, I got switched from a full-fledged member, to one who needs moderator approval for every post. And he doesn't check in anymore, so...

A few weeks ago, I read about "Matt's Wild Cherry Tomatoes" which are supposed to be jellybean size or a little larger and are supposed to produce quite a bit.  I got a hold of some seeds and will be sowing them in a couple of weeks.  Never planted any small tomato version other than Super Sweet 100s.  We'll see how they hold up and produce.

I just put out the next crop of Super Sweet 100. They are incredible producers, often clustering into strings of 30 or more tomatoes!

The only problem with the SS100, is that it's a full size plant.

I have to read up on this variety that you've mentioned. Not heard of it... Thanks for mentioning it.
