Flavours of the Caribbean (Mainly)

Thought it was about time I put on blog on here as requested by a good friend Gary (wind chicken).
I got to know Gary having done a seed trade over 2 years ago via fb, and have always admired his growing.
As title says most of my grow will be bonnets as I love Caribbean cuisine especially Jerk chicken, curry goat etc.

I started some rocotos quite early as I know they take forever to ripen..

First time I've ever grown rocoto and pleased with progress so far.

Will make a proper grow list when I receive the p.dreadie select seeds kindly sent by Gary and one I'm pleased to have as a memory to Erin.

Another one already up and waiting to be potted on is Carrot Jolokia which I was kindly sent by Ben (bpiela), took ages to sprout a hook, but got one in the end.

Just waiting on a few stubborn bonnets to show hooks before finalizing what's a keeper.

Know quite a few of the british growers on here as there active members of a forum we all share

Trident
Dennish
Snagglepuss
Heefy Si Borg

and also Plantguy 76 Jason who is active here and a couple of other forums.

Very nice haul, Sim! Those Cappuccino Scotch Bonnets are on my next years' grow list. Yours look beautiful! And look at all of those lanterns! Also on my list! Fantastic! Nice Naga Morich plant! Things are looking great! [emoji1303]
Cheers Adam, you will love the lanterns, epic producer and great plant. Makes good powder.
When does your season end buddy, we're praying for more sun lol.

Just like you, our season has no rules. It's usually the middle of October sometimes longer. But we're looking at over a week of 80°(F) days. It's only been in the 60's for highs and 40's for lows, Fahrenheit. I'm betting a lot more will ripen up for me.

The bonnets look great Sim! Congrats on a successful grow this season!

I'm leaning towards a more bonnet grow next season for the hotter ones. They're simply great, and at least the wife will consider dealing with one as opposed to the supers. Although I really need a Reaper to make pods, I simply love the flavor, they have this cherry thing going on ;)  But small amounts here and there...lol

Obeah for you next season Devv .... Great show Simmy

So cool to see CGN21500 growing. Hadn't seen too many folks this year with those. Can't believe I left it off the list. One of the best tasting peppers on the planet! Good time reading over your blog man. Cheers!
