Flavours of the Caribbean (Mainly)

Thought it was about time I put on blog on here as requested by a good friend Gary (wind chicken).
I got to know Gary having done a seed trade over 2 years ago via fb, and have always admired his growing.
As title says most of my grow will be bonnets as I love Caribbean cuisine especially Jerk chicken, curry goat etc.

I started some rocotos quite early as I know they take forever to ripen..

Will make a proper grow list when I receive the p.dreadie select seeds kindly sent by Gary and one I'm pleased to have as a memory to Erin.

Another one already up and waiting to be potted on is Carrot Jolokia which I was kindly sent by Ben (bpiela), took ages to sprout a hook, but got one in the end.

Just waiting on a few stubborn bonnets to show hooks before finalizing what's a keeper.

Know quite a few of the british growers on here as there active members of a forum we all share

Trident
Dennish
Snagglepuss
Heefy Si Borg
Jay
and also Plantguy 76 Jason who is active here and a couple of other forums.

Sim at last you show your hand .... glad you are showing on the forum your grow this season ... All the very best my friend plants looking healthy

Not showing my full hand just yet John, iv changed a few things around due to no shows , some where they were my last few seeds which is a bummer , but i look at it just was,nt meant to be :banghead:

as fore mentioned on our forum CG its mainly all bonnets from you and Mike c2c with a few specials of Matthews thrown in, i am now waiting on a few stubborn ones and will then show the final list which will be keepers.

The p.dreadie select from Gary (windchicken ) will go to my uncles who has a heated greenhouse and be isolated to keep prime grade seeds , so theres no chance of getting anything cross with Erins stunning pod. :D

Really need to pot these rocotos on now as they need potting up, will do as soon as a delivery of perlite arrives.

These we're taking this morning

Having sowed a second lot of chinense
and this time getting a lot better germination rates, 95% which is much more to my liking.

Decided to pit on some of the early stragglers.
All potted on with a small feed of charge. ( Beetle droppings ) to push them on and get a good root ball established.
