health My plants are under duress- What am I doing wrong?

I feel like a good chunk of my plants are under duress.  Many of the leaves are curling and appear to be burning at the tips. A few of their leaves are also turning black.  Can someone please let me know what is going on, and what can I do to resolve my problem.  I tried raising the lights a couple of inches and I added some nutrients at half strength (fish emoltion, and Neptune’s seaweed food) for the first time.  Is there anything else I can do to help my little guys?  Up until just a few days ago, the plants looked great.  It seemed like this has occurred sometime over the past 48 hours.  If anyone can please let me know what’s going on and how I can correct it I would really appreciate it.

also are they under 24 hours of light? its either too much light without enough dark, or its too close... back it off and give them some darkness to heal... despite liking light as adults pepper seedlings are very light sensitive... back it off and only bring it closer if they start to stretch if they seem fine leave it... what kind of light is under there?

one more thing... dont expect to see the leaves that are there now to heal or change back... the new growth will show the healing.. just back the light off and wait  for the new growth...  dont start trying random things cause you see no change.. just be patient for the new growth..

Ah, the canoe. I got 'em too on my taller plants. Once the lights were raised up to 16" off the canopy they relaxed quite a bit. New growth looks much healthier now.

They are far too small to need feeding yet.  Depending on what potting mix you have used, it's likely to have enough nutrients in it to keep them going for a while.  Overfeeding is worse for the plants than underfeeding.

MOST DEF.BACK OFF THE NUTES .  Whats your medium comprised of ? looks really wet . Weren't we down this road once before ? just a couple of spritz's around the plant and not up on the base . whats the light set on 16/8 ?

I'm using organic seed starting mix with a small amount of added perlite, worm castings, and rock dust.   I watered the plants 20 minutes prior to taking the pics that’s probably why it looks wet in the pics. I've really cut back on the iwatering since my last scare.   I have my timer set at 16/8 and the lights were 3-4 inches above the canopy. After reading everyone’s comments I’m pretty sure I had my lights to close to my plants.

Since I posted this, I've had my lights turned off and they seem to be improving.    I will try raising my lights 12" above the canopy for a few days and see if that improves my situation.

i wouldnt go that far with flourescents... meet in the middle at 8 or 9 inches and see how it goes... 12 may start em stretching... its like goldie locks and the three bears.. dont want too close, dont want too far, want just right
