Kenji López/Serious Eats lists Thr Food Lab's Top 30 Hot Sauces (in no particular order)

GM just posted the same link!

Congrats and there are some really awesome sauces on the list.  Nice to be able to recognize quite a few and to have tried them.

LD, I ordered a squeezable YOTD off heat a few days ago bc I have been on a dumpling bender.

To be honest I didn't think that sauces like Franks and Valentina deserve mentioning because they're basically all salt, vinegar and preservatives, but it's a solid list.

That's a great list!

The el yucky taco mayan is a pretty solid sauce for commercial. It almost reminds me of a imitation LD black label. I need to get over my fear of citrus as i'm missing out on a lot of good sauces. Still avoiding citrus, sea salt and cilantro as I never did pin down which was causing the allergic reactions. Most likely the sea salt as I have a shellfish allergy and himalayan seasalt has large amounts of micro crustaceans in it. But it's not fun having reactions so haven't tested it with the citrus yet.

I actually think those two validate that it's not a snobby pretentious foodie list - Kenji said it's his 30 favorite.

Who among us doesn't have a bottle of Tapatio on hand? I respect that he's keeping it real with those entries.
:)

I had the same issue with citrus.  Try big fats 7o8 and/or High River Rogue, both fantastic.

If we're gonna keep it real like this, we need to add either Taco Bell mild, hot, or fire.
