Today was the 2nd day with the bigger plants outside during the day (I think 26 pubescens, 4 baccatum and 18 chinense). If I'll finish the work in the garden I will move the pubes in beds on Saturday.
Some pics below, some plants are already too big for 2L pots.

When did you sow them ?

Check the lens on your camera, the pics are a bit foggy.

Thanks, they were started on 2 Feb.
The camera is a dusty phone, I will try to clean the lens at least

My plants are tiny compared to yours. And they were started even before. What's you secret? Any special nutes or just good soil?

I would say it's the light, using 2 agro 600W each - it's 180k lumens for 2.88 square meters.
Now I remember why I cannot clean the lens, have to replace the cracked back cover of the phone because there is no screw:

Long day today, managed to bring the garden in a "plantable" state

Still lot to do.

The 3 pubescen beds:

Overwinters, some alive some maybe not. And tomato bed soon.

19 chinense and 5 baccatum moved to 45L containers.

Pubescens doing good, I have at least one fruit already set. Next time I'll take some flower pics

Wow!

Sorry! I really hate to see this. Glad everything wasn't out.

I've been caught "all in" 3 weeks after an average last frost with 24° overnight. It just so happened it was a Friday night, I was off Saturday, up at 3:30AM walking out to the garden and the ground was crunching. Wasn't much I could do but turn on the sprinkler and go back to bed. At 7AM, everything looked like an ice storm had just hit. I left the sprinkler on until the ice melted, around 9:30. Out of 8 dozen plants I lost one pepper. They didn't mind the freezing, it's the frost that sucks all the moisture out of them and does the tissue damage. Hope this helps in the future

Happened in the last day of Easter holiday while I was away. Trusted the weather guys so didn't frost cover them before leaving. I think most of them will recover because they have big roots already and I see new small growth. But I lost many weeks.

All the affected Rocoto recovering well, planted also the smaller ones, total 42 plants in 3 beds

The frozen chinenses seem to recover, but slow. All baccatum are alive

Nice recovery! Your grow setup looks pretty epic. Great idea on the shade cloth for the Pubes. In Mexico they grow manzanos with ease in blistering heat using shade cloth.

You're doing a damn fine job so far! I also got several varieties of Pubescens from Nicolau in a trade a few seasons ago. Most of them did very well in my garden last year. I usually don't get huge harvests of rocoto pods til mid August here in NOVA, but when they hit, they hit very hard all the way through November. Bi weekly grocery bags full of pods. Get ready! With the amount of plants you are growing, you will have your hands full for sure.
