Growing Aji Charapita

Just got a little over 100+ fresh Aji Charapita seeds from a friend who went down to Iquitos, Peru. I'm really interested in any advice for germinating and growing these seeds from anyone who might have experience. I've been reading that they can be difficult and am looking for any pointers. Thanks in advance.

Soak seeds in a little water overnight and plant in a sterile medium (perlite, sand and peatmoss mixture and some natural nutrients for example) 1/8 inch deep in a small plastic pot, water and sit on a heat mat designed for germinating. Don't keep it too wet and don't let it dry out either. You can put a plastic hood over them to regulate temp. and humidity. When they come up, take off the heat mat  and put under bright light. Direct sun is a little strong unless it's in the morning or evening. You will have to add some organic nutrients (manure, worm castings, dolomite, langbeinite, NPK etc.) at some point soon but do not disturb the roots.  Repot into growing medium when the roots are well developed. Just like juanitos and tctenten say above.
