Pump Sprayers

I've found watering my potted plants to be a PITA,once the soil starts to dry out it channels the water like crazy and most of it runs out the bottom of the pot. I decided to try a pump sprayer to give them a finer spray than any of my watering cans are able to produce. After some searching I found a 2pack of 2g sprayers at Tractor Supply for $21 and change out the door. I thought I would pass this on as it seemed to be a pretty good deal for anyone who might need one (or two).

BTW, it worked great, the pots actually got saturated before running out the bottom. It takes longer, but well worth the added effort, plus you can mist the leaves and give them a good rinsing.

you might try a surfactant for your soil. it will help it rehydrate evenly.

i actually have some verm impregnated with APE surfactant... i could mail you a bit to f**k with if you pay the shipping.

Thank you for the offer, but seeing as I'll need enough for about 12-15 5g pots, I might as well find a place to order some from. I remember bookmarking a site that sold some sort of surfactant, now I just need to remember which site it was.

I really made this post just to tell the good folks here of what I thought was a good deal on sprayers if anyone had a need for them.

ive got like 3/4 of a gallon ziplock bag full... ill have to check my notes, but im pretty sure you only need like a table spoon per cubic foot for peat light media.

you might need more for a rich clay filled soil... but who knows.

i could send you like a small flat rate box mostly full.

the product is called aquagro 2000g. the g stands for granuals... basically super fine verm sprayed with APE.

there are better/safer surfactants than ape though... ape is just alot cheaper. but if you are cool with APE (alot of folks are not), ill gladly send you some.
