Hi all,

I bought some seeds from the internet, and the fruit have started to show, however the pods dont seem to be the shape id expect for the seeds planted !

, also they look pretty alien hehe, any pro's got any clues as to what type these could be ?

Hello and welcome! Your pepper kinda looks like a Malaysian Goronong to me. I'm just going by pictures...I've never grown it.

Goronong was my first thought as well, although the calyx on that one looks larger than the ones on the Goronongs I have seen. Also, what color is it really? It looks like it might have a reddish tint to it, but that could just be the purple lighting. Goronongs tend to be yellow to orangish-yellow. A photo with normal lighting might be helpful.

Above is my observation on pepper...... My pix from 2015 grow below......

The pods are green at the moment, and the first smaller pods that ripened were a blood red colour the Malaysian Goronong do look the same! Do Malaysian Goronong come in a red colour ? ( and thanks guys / gals )

I have never seen a red Goronong. If the pods are ripening red then i'm thinking it's either a cross or just another variety entirely.

Probably just my terrible vision, but the hue makes it hard to distinguish much. To me, it looks like a shishito.

a few days later and ive took another picky of the same chillie and another one on the same plant (with the light off this time !) and sorry for posting in the wrong thread I didnt see the pepper id thead when signing up, maybe a moderator could move it if need be.
