Strawberry leaves turning purple and dying?

It doesn't take ESP to realise that my strawberry plants' leaves are turning purple and then brown and crispy (AKA dead).

So, what's going on? I'm guessing that it isn't good for the plant, you know, due to the whole dying thing...

Anyway, anyone have an explanation? Or, more importantly, a solution?

Thanks in advance, TBG.

More info needed.

Are they in ground or container grown, pH of soil, lighting conditions intensity and duration, feeding/watering habits etc etc.

Sorry for the late reply, you know how it is...

Anyway, they're grown in a raised bed, no idea of soil pH, but only started the bed in very early January, used premium soil mix. They get direct sunlight for most of the day, probably from 9-3ish???  I feed them with an average NPK fertilliser, and water every day/second day, or less, depending on rainfall and heat...

I bought four plants in early January, meant to mature about April, one plant is heavily stricken (its on the west side) and the one on the east side is slightly getting hit. The other two are doing just great...

I'll take some photos later if you need them...

Cheers, -TBG-:
