Novice Grower

Hey everyone, I'm a novice grower that's been "growing peppers" for several years but I'm looking to get serious about it. I'd like to do more than just pour water into dirt that happens to have a pepper plant growing in it. I'm looking for tips on everything; nutrition, water, pests...anything.

Look forward to talking with everyone!

Welcome, these guys are great. All the help you want and need (and then some) is right here.

CAPCOM that is one of the funniest things I have seen.

Now to answer a couple things and suggest a little. I am not sure how you are growing, what you are growing, the style, method or what have you. Here's what I am doing and it's working for me so far.

Bi weekly watering with a epsom salts solution (3 tbsp per gallon of water)

Bi weekly watering with some kind of feed (your choice) I had some M.G. left from last year
So wk1=epsom salts wk2=fert wk3=epsom salts...... You get the idea

Bottom feed, I have all mine in solo cups at the moment and I have holes in the bottoms so I place them all in a tray, flood the tray and water soaks up into the soil. It makes the roots reach and find water.

Mist them, keep the humidity up some, not so much to promote pests or mold growth but a misting once or twice a day has been working for me.

Air exchange- install a fan, keeps air moving so that mold and fungus won't grow and there's an added benefit: the moving air moves the plants around and helps promote sturdier stalks/stem.

Keep in mind I am no pro, but with everything I have been learning from these guys, I am doing pretty well. Check out my glog if you'd like.
