Rooting powder on transplants?

I've always buried my pepper transplants deep just like i do with tomatoes but has anyone ever used rooting powder or gel on the stems before transplanting? I know the plant will produce new roots without it but will using it speed the process? Thank you in advance.

No, I use mykos when transplanting.

It's not the same as rooting compound but I'm giving this a shot this year. There are other brands of mycorrhizae as well.

I use jelly fish when I transplant to 6 inch containers.
