Thank you very much! Except for sampling raw, haven't done anything with them just yet, except tell a friend they weren't that hot and he ate a white pod. Now he doesn't trust me. :rofl:

I'd like to see a purple jam/jelly made from these.

Those roasted pods look sooo tempting! I think I WOULD eat one whole cooked that way...but my head would be a puddle on my shoulders. Lol.

I'm so far behind on everything. But I'll catch up.

Those roasted pods look just luscious; serve with salt and beer!

Thanks for sharing your pics so we can all see how Tristen's
cross does in various parts of the world, and determine if it
is truly stable. Your plants definitely show the Bonda trait of
tall, rangy growth habit, and the purple foliage of the PdN. I
see a variety of pod shapes on your plants, as well as my own,
from slender and pointed to fat and beefy.

The color holds very well on chili peppers if you dehydrate them
at 90˚-95˚F. Much over 115˚-120˚, and the pods dry shades darker.

made pdnbmj burgers! Cooked the purples into the BBQ sauce!

These pods were dried in my Nesco dehydrator which runs too hot.
You can see that the colors are a bit too dark, but the purple color
has survived. Beauty is only skin deep, however, and any powder
will be mostly yellow with some little purple specks in it:

The F4 are edging closer and closer to a big pull:

F6W-LP. 190 grams of beautiful ivory pods. This plant consistently puts out some gnarly,
big pods:

Seed pods, all over 2 1/2 inches long:

F6W-2, 236 grams. Seems to have more white mixed in with the violet:

Those ivory F4 are lovely, well they are all great, but the F4 just call to me.

If you end up with some extra seed from them, I'd like to buy some from you.

Awesome pod, Tristan! The colors on this cross are amazing sometimes.
The burger looks great. How did the purples work in the sauce? Those
are nice looking white pods, too, about 2-21/2 inches long? Looking
forward to your assessment of their flavors.

No need to pay for them if you will just post a little about them so we
can all see how the cross is working out around the world. I'll include
a few violet-colored pod seeds if you like.

Here's my first pod:

So I guess maybe I do have a white variety of the PDN x BMJ cross.

I haven't been throwing the coals at it with ferts, and it's had to grow out during the heat of my summer, so the pods are a little smaller than y'alls.

Most of my other pods are bigger than this one, but not as big as others I've seen here.

But, given my lazy style of growing peppers (especially with respect to a steady stream of nutrients), my plants are coming along good.

It's a pretty hot pepper. I'm a terrible judge of Scoville just by tasting the pod. I just ate a piece of the tip, and it definitely has a kick.

It's amazing how much kick those smaller pods can have.
My plants have lots of those, too, so don't worry. I just show
ya the best stuff

The F6 keep ripening pods in small waves. A few more days of sun
and there should be lots of pods from the F4, and the other two F6
specimens. These pods are from the F6P and F6W-1. Both have
many more pods forthcoming. I am optimistic that the predicted
decent weather between now and mid-November will see almost
all of the pods ripen up.

F6P, 177 grams:

F6W-1, 367 grams. Total from this plant so far is 1.115 kilograms:

Every plant produces some runts and mutants, but this is one I have been waiting for.
There have been lots of small ones in the past, but nothing like this. There is a similar
pod on the F6P, although not quite as big. Sorry about the fuzzy second picture, guess
I wasnt very careful!

Lots going with a few sunny days under our belts. Looking at
a nice run of sunny, warm says ahead, as well. Great pod-ripening
weather!

The globe-shaped pod from the F6P, 1-1/4 x 1-1/8:

Excellent results everyone.

I have a pinched nerve in shoulder for 4 weeks now.

Not much being harvested because of it.

Lots of pods like everyone else even after almost killing them at plant out.

Hoping to get them all picked this week.

In general, yes, Craig, although all the F4 produce some nice white pods.
This go around, the F4-3 has slightly rosy shading on a lot of pods,
due to sun exposure, I guess.
Pods varying from a light yellow to an ivory color are the norm for all three,
although of all of them, the #2 is my favorite.
