Can you tell the difference? My F5 are quite a
bit smaller due to being in cups a couple of weeks
longer, but other than that, not much.

I can't tell them from each other at all. Or the bulbous. And they don't seem to mind my inconsistent watering or lack of nutes like the other peppers. Definitely like the way they grow.

These are the most vigorous, tolerant peppers
I have grown. They seem to shrug off most
environmental curve balls, and look amazing
doing it!

Egad I need out of zone 3. Middle of February and I have two weeks before I even think about starting seeds.

I need Trump to declare a national emergency and send me the Army Corps of Engineers to build me a greenhouse!

Sometimes I think the same thing about
where we live, Eric! And compared to the
rest of the nation, we have had the best
weather in the country the past couple of weeks :rofl:

For grows north of the 40th parallel a greenhouse
or grow tent/room/shelf is pretty much a necessity.

I have been watching that one closely, CD.
It is normal at this stage under the lights that
Flowers like that fall off, but that one has made
It past that point and started to swell a little. Still
Not a slam dunk, but promising. There are several
others in the same state, But I need to stop poking
around for pics, or I am going to knock them off!

Some pics to show the comparison between
the BJ hybrid and the F7 Violet. Looking around
the forum, I can't believe how many PdN crosses
there are. The purple traits must be so very strong
genetically.

This hybrid seed came from a plant with medium
dark purple foliage and rangy, bushy growth. Still,
very purple. There was a darker, almost black, one,
but it was the least productive of the bunch.

There are several pics due to the way light angle
affects the colors. The F7 is 9 days older than
the BJ hybrid.

Hope everyone is off to a roaring start this season.
I see some good success with the F7 grow. Thanks
to those who are sharing photos. Looking forward to
more as more folks start getting to transplanting and/or
pot-up!

The plants look pretty darn consistent across the board :party:

The F7-3 and F7-4 have gotten super bushy
underneath the canopy. Lots of competition
for space and light. F7-4:

Some of the smart branches had bent over
growing tips, so I removed all but three
branches that are flowering from the F7-3.
The F7-4 will get thinned out tomorrow:

I think it's going to be a pod. For real :party:

I can't wait to see the pods far enough along that
I can spot them in the foliage. Plants are nice and
open, so lots of air and light will get to them. Am
seeing a few more dried flower corollas hanging on,
so that's a good sign. A few flowers dropping.

I am still pruning buds at the odd numbered nodes.
Am done up to node seven on the F71, and node
five on the other three. I think after this, there will
be too many growth sites at the 9th node to deal
with!

The even numbered nodes are prolific with buds.
