Vermicomposting Workshop through local recycling center

I'm going to a worm composting class/workshop this weekend. It was $20 for 2 hours and they provide the Rubbermaid bin and all the materials (including the wigglers!). I could probably put it together for cheaper myself but I like getting out and doing some hands on learning.

I'm pretty excited. Next up get an airstone for some worm tea :)

That's not a bad price, and vermicomposting is pretty dang awesome.  I did a similar thing with my Mom years ago at a local urban farm/co-op.  The farm itself is great, but the dude they had running the seminar really mailed it in.  And he gave us a big hand full of compost with just a few wigglers in it, which seemed like a gyp.  But, in the end, it didn't matter.  Give those worms the right conditions and plenty to eat, and you'll be over-run with them in no time.
