Would still be careful about putting them directly into full sun

I had the same thought, I was thinking of putting them in 1-gallon pots at first, then transferring them to the planter box once they're stronger.

That seem reasonable?

Bring some extra cash! I stopped in there last year, on the way home to CT from Philly. I only planned on picking up 3 or 4 plants since I already had about 25 at home, started from seed. I ended up leaving there with about a dozen more ;)

"Ooooh! THAT looks good! And THAT...and THAT...and THAT...."

I could've spent all day (and all my money) at that place. I've also ordered live plants online from them too, with great results. Great vendor!

Yeeeeeaaaaahhh.......about that.....

I stopped on the way back from seeing my in-laws for the weekend in Philly. The wife and kids all fell asleep in the car on the way home, so "somebody" punched in the address to Cross Country Nurseries into the GPS, hahaha

They all woke up, extremely confused, when the car finally stopped.....in the CCN parking lot :)

(Wife) "What the hell is going on? Where the hell are we?!"
(Me) "We're fine, honey. Go back to sleep..."
(Wife) "Is this for more pepper shit?! ARE YOU F--KING SERIOUS?!?!?!"

Oh, we're bringing piles of cash.... and i'm actually bringing the wife.

I live right across the bridge from Phila, so we're only about an hour from CCN.  Not too bad, right?  We just moved into this house in December, so this week, I'm building two 8x4 raised beds.  We're taking over two 12x4 raised beds at the community garden, like 3 blocks from home.  I got a few other spots to plant in the yard, plus i wanna rock some bags or buckets on the deck and patio.  This will be our first real garden, so we're stoked to get some tomatoes, eggplants, and various other plants.... definitely a little herb garden, too.

I'm pretty obsessed with chiles right now, but the Missus demands some other stuff, which i'm fine with, but i'm not buying or working any of the other shit LOL.  I'm just thankful that she's not looking to waste space and effort on ornamental flowers and such.  We're growing it to eat it, or to give it away to other folks for food... Between the seedlings i've started and the plants i've ordered (see my GLOG if you're bored), we won't have room for too many add'l peppers.  But i'm thinking we can get some nice weird tomatoes from CCN....

Sorry to hijack; i'm just glad to hear another positive review about the CCN stuff, as i'm thoroughly jazzed to pick'm up and get'm in the ground.  Your plants look awesome, Sprawlaholic.
