Grow down Throwdown for Southern Hemisphere?

Ahoy!

I was wondering if there is usually another grow down throw down for folks who live in the southern latitudes, seeing as the start/finish dates of the usual one don't really suit our seasons...

So is there one?

If there isn't, I reckon we should get one going - we could start it on the solstice and end the same time next year?

Let us know what's up!
Thanks, TBG.

EDIT: Looks like we are going to be organising one! Start date probs Winter solstice, dunno what we'll be growing yet.... Looking for suggestions to put into a poll.

Any suggestions for variety? Perhaps something readily available from THSC or another local vendor?

What about Aji Amarillo? Has a very high yield and grows well, will make it interesting! Tasty too

I'd say once we have a few possible varieties (bout a dozen?) we start a thread for the growdown and put up a poll. Have to do it soon thou..... So let's keep the suggestions rolling!

I'll put up a poll in the next couple of days, anyone got any more varieties to throw in the mix? I'll put in all the ones above, plus some more that I've been looking at from THSC.

So far we have:
Cheiro Roxa
Purple UFO
Fish Pepper
Peach Fatalii
Aji Amarillo
Turkish Snake
De Arbol Blood
Han Rim Gwari Put
Aji Lemon

If there's any other varieties to chuck in the list, let us know!
