How long is to long to keep removing blossoms?

I live in Central Florida and Started my peppers to late. They are getting tall but are lanky and not filling in that well. Is it a bad idea to remove any flowers till around September when the weather starts getting nicer and the rainy season is over? Would I be able to get them blooming again with the right Fertilizer at that time? I have three Pablanos, a Mirasol, a Pasilla, and a Boldog.

I think it'd be fine to keep removing flowers if you want. But, I don't think you need to wait until September to stop. That's quite a long time. And as long as they are healthy, they should just keep on blooming without a problem.

What makes you think that you started too late?

Thank you for the response :) I have read that removing blossoms encourages the plant to fill out more and grow a stronger stem. I've already topped them all twice but they shoot straight up and their stems are so weak. I know they won't support the weight of any pods. It is getting pretty hot and humid around here so I was thinking that I could try to get them to build stronger stems and get more bushy until the humidity and heat subside in September. Does that make sense?

Well, not exactly. It sounds like you have some other issue.

Not sure where you are at... But if you are anywhere from Orlando south, you enjoy the longest growing season in the continental US. And believe me when I tell you, we are just getting started. I usually start another rack of seeds around July. Ok, that might not be what the Farmer's Almanac, or conventional wisdom say to do. I'm just saying that you can.

Right now is peak growth, but please don't worry. YOu haven't started anything too late for Central Florida.

How about we talk about some pictures?

I started them as small transplants the last week of March. At this point they are about the size of Home Depot starters.

Definitely pics.
.
Are you planted in-ground?

Thanks again for your input! They are in grow bags on a porch in the shade. I think I might be over Fertilizing. 1Tsp Alaska Fish Emulsion & 1Tbs Alaska Pure Kelp per Gallon Water Weekly. I will post pics tomorrow.

What is it planted in? Do you feed it?
Give as much detail as possible, the stems shouldn't stay very weak

Either something is wrong or the stems are strong enough :)

You are not overfeeding them.

Any reason that you haven't got them out under the sun?

I tried sun at first but they wilt completely very quickly. I have a poblano that I bought from Home Depot in February and it did the same. It was in direct sunlight from 8am til 1:30pm.Eventually it dropped many of its blossoms. Since then I've moved them all to the shade. They get direct sun from about 4pm til 7:30pm.

Your poblanos should have exploded from February to now, and you should have had a bounty.

Potting mix?  Fertilizer? Watering?  Pics?

These are in Grow Bags. For the top 2/3 of the bag I am using a 50/50 mix Miracle Grow Organic Choice & Miracle Grow Orchid Mix with Blood Meal, Bone Meal, and Kelp Meal blended in. The bottom third of the bag is a 50/50 mix of Perlite and Orchid Mix.

PepperBag < 20 Qts
Potting Mix *0.13-0.05-0.08
1/3 OrchidMix 3Qts & Perlite 3Qts
2/3 OrchidMix 6.5Qts & Organic Choice 6.5Qts
1 Cup Blood&Bone, 1/3 Cup Kelp *15-14-2
Total Nutrients = 15.13-14.05-2.08
Initial Potting - 5/14

I am feeding with 1Tsp Alaska Fish Emulsion (5-1-1) & 1Tbsp Alaska Pure Kelp (0.13-0-0.6) per Gallon Wkly. My plan is to switch to 1Tbsp Alaska Pure Kelp (0.13-0-0.6) & 1Tsp Alaska More Bloom (0-10-10) after they fill in and become bushy.

I think I missed the window on the Bonnie Poblano and switched from the Fish Emulsion to the Alaska More Bloom far to late. Last Weekend. Well after it put on and then dropped many blossoms.

I water the plants when they are wilting or drooping . Probably twice a week now.
