That's my ginger beer brew mat, but gets too hot for seeds so had to put a controller on it. Switches on at 26c and off at 28c. Had good success with it so far.

All you need is 20w of LED goodness. I have a 30x30cm growbox with a floodlight that works great so the concept does work.
You could knock something together ghetto style for $10 - $20, but hey that's all you need till the frost is gone.

But yeah, I am looking at what I can whip up within the next week or so.
I don't want to sow until I can confirm that I'll be able to support the seedlings.
But we get frost until September here, so I'd need a fairly serious lighting system. I'm looking at setting up a greenhouse by mid August, and putting my grow in there until the frosts clear. That would lessen the light needed.
But hey, this ain't my glog, so I'm not gonna worry about that here.
