Looking for opinions on light?

Not perfect , but will work.
It helps to build a grow box with reflective material all round .
It helps to reflect light and hold the heat from the light inside.

That light will work great until springtime.
 
From reading up on the dodgy herbal websites (don't search for grow box on work PC) the recommendation is 2000 lumens per sq ft, but that is for growth indoors completely so for starting out that light will work fine.
 
If you have a look at Juanitos Glog - http://thehotpepper.com/topic/63551-juanitos-2017/ he is using 5630 strip lighting and results are awesome. Might be higher lumens per sq.ft though.

Good to hear! I can always add an extra one later on if need be.
 
Ended up with a different light, seems like it'll be a bit better.

$44 at Bunnings.
 
Only have had it in for a day, and the seedlings are looking to already be liking it more than the windowsill!
 
At this stage I'd recommend it, but we'll see how it works out in the long run...
