serious dilemma here

So im finding myself with a chance to go to our vacation home in maine for a week or 2... I really want to go but ive never had a bunch of plants depending on me in the past. So do i take a mental break or stay home and take care of the peppers...

Maine lobster?  Woop!

Wouldn't even be a choice for me, but then again it is currently in the 90s every day here.  Vacation > Plants in my book.  Peace out and just buy SFRB from our local dudes if you have nobody to water every day or two and your stuff dies.  I'm about to have a month or more of downtime due to surgery and I am calling in all neighbors and friends as water support while I'm out of action.

Alternately, if you're driving up stuff your most critically important plants in pots and take them with you on vacation.  :D

I'm new around here, and probably on the irresponsible side.

But since you have a Hunter S. Thompson quote as your tagline, I don't feel too bad giving this advice...

Go to Lowes or Home Depot, and get the stuff you need to put in a drip system with a timer.

Go and have fun in Maine. Come back, and see how everything worked. Learn from that and figure out what you need to do in the future to leave for a week or two without too much impact on your garden.

Hell, we just got back from a week at the lake. Do what I did, find a babysitter. Someone to drop in once a day or two and keep the pepper thieves guessing... :P

Only pepper thieves around here are deer and chipmunks... But yeah, my mom says if i draw her a diagram she will water them (the diagram is to show her where the ghost peppers are so she can avoid them)
