What grows in the blistering Fla heat?

Steamed with a black bean based sauce is also good but i am partial to the fried (braised) with fermented black beans. :D Go easy with them or rinse heavily first...They are very salty.

Speaking of delicious fermented black beans and veggies that love hot weather..

This is rau muong, some folks call it kangkong (not King Kong), or water spinach. Keep it in a container so it doesn't get out of hand and the more water the better. Harvest it by cutting an inch from the soil and it just keeps growing back. It's delicious and tender.. I like it sauteed with garlic a little soy sauce and fermented black bean sauce.

I had a turtle show up in my yard yesterday evening also.  I noticed him as I was watering my peppers.

Then he started laying his eggs, and I knew he wasn't a dude.

Callaloo, or amaranth, grows like a weed in the blazing heat. Super healthy, super easy to grow, but you'll have to battle the caterpillars and moths for it. Also works as a lure crop to keep pests away from other things in the garden. Once these things start to seed it never needs to be planted again. Grows on autopilot.
