Hot Sauce Research Project Help!

Hi Spice Lovers,

I am a student at the University of Washington conducting a research project on hot sauce for my entrepreneurship class. I am looking to conduct short 15 minute interviews over the phone (or VOIP program of choice) with hot sauce fanatics. Please let me know (including how/when to contact you) if you are able to help me!
I need to have these interviews done by Wednesday (7/19) evening PST.

Thank you!

(I created a new account so that I can attach this in my report appendices. I know it has no post history.)

You should ask SpiceFreak. he does a Sauce review blog. There's also a tonne of others who'd be good candidates, put up  a status to mke sure they know you're looking for them! Good luck!

P.S I'm not a sauce fanatic. Wouldn't be much help to you sorry.

I am looking for anyone who eats hot sauces - commercial or their own, really. The problem I am interested in is how people try new hot sauces and any barriers they face in trying to do so.

Can't find a spoon?  ;) Barriers... the only one I can think of is small manufacturers not offering global shipping. Other than that, you are talking to an adventurous crowd and the only other barrier is overcoming the fear of the pain. Sometimes that is also called, momentary lapse in judgement. ;)

Maybe this will help. Barriers in trying new sauce:
  • Can't find locally
  • Can't afford shipping
  • Shipping not available
  • Too expensive compared to mainstream brands
  • Not sure is worth trying when not sure if will like

I have a hot sauce collection. I'd be willing to add my two cents if you're interested..
