chinense Carolina Reaper x Ghost

I crossed reaper n ghost.  To my surprise, multiple plants are producing pods that are very much alike.  I had expected a great deal more variation before growing them out.  Seems like a very common cross, something lots of people would do.  Has anyone else combined these two and if so, what were your results?

The F1s are all nearly identical. That's why large seed companies sell F1 hybrids, they get Hybrid vigor and a uniform, predictable crop. The f2 generation is where the diversity comes in. That's where you get random genetic mixing.

If the parents were sufficiently inbred, F1s will be genetically identical, and any variation could only be due to E.

The only caveat I can think of to this is that I've seen that reciprocal crosses can sometimes yield different F1s depending on which plant was the mother. I suppose this has to do with chloroplastic effects.

Hey AJ. I got a couple of these growing this year. Will let you know how they turn out.

Really early to fruit and ripen.  Faster than the parent ghost and reapers.  Look more ghost than reaper but tend to have a distinct point and sometimes a near hair like tail.  PM me your address and I will send a few hoping you will do the same when yours turn out.
