hot-sauce D@til Pepper Hot Sauce

I went to the store yesterday and picked up a bottle of D@til Pepper sauce, this is one of the better "St. Augustine" style hot sauces that I have had. The sauce is a traditional style tomato based (ketchup) sautéed with Datil peppers, bell pepper,  onions and garlic, with some Worcestershire and some honey to round it off. I liked it because you could really taste the slight smoky fruitiness of the Datils through the ketchup base. The heat level I would consider moderate, a nice back of the throat burn that lingers for a few minutes. A nice sweet/savory sauce goes well with grilled meats (as shown I threw some in the steak marinade as well) it's thick with small chucks of onion and sticks well to food. It would probably make a mean Bloody Mary as well. For the $3.67 price point in store it was well worth it. It costs more on their website ($5.50) captainfoods.com probably because of the in-store Fresh from Florida promotion. Still worth it in my opinion.
