[Aug 14] What are you working on this week?

I planted one of my 8 avocado trees in the ground and pulled out an apple tree and gave it to a friend where the avocado tree is has now taken its place in my backyard. Also I have so many peppers ripening with no time to make anything so I might just vacuum seal them and freeze them for later use. I also picked weeds for several hours Saturday which sucked lol.

This will be a crazy week my son is coming today from out of state and my daughter and son inlaw from out of the country for my mothers funeral this Thursday. She passed away a week ago from yesterday. So this will be a week I'm not looking forward too  :(

This is my first time ever planting hot and super hot peppers, as I'm a newbie in this pepper world.

my outdoors 4 inch tall ghost is putting out some mid-winter buds. I don't know if I'll let it bloom, pluck them out or if I top it. Or even if the buds will fall of naturally because my winter nights here in Brazil are like 50 to 55°F

Froze a bunch of pods today

Ripe jalapeno, super chile and Tabasco v2 with a lighter tomato.....The first one has already been consumed btw. Ive got more ripe ones this time and it will have more heat.

Today is Kimchi Jjjiggae day!! Made with some SUPER ripe kimchi that is probably around 6 months old, pork tenderloin becaue thats what i got atm and fried tofu triangles. Koreans love the soft tofu for kimchi stews but im partial to either extra firm or fried in mine.

Ive got Gochus sun drying but i will not have much powder when im done....Still nice to have some homemade though for a comparison. The plant in the ground is taking off atm but its going to be awhile before they are ripe.

Might make a Beni Highlands and 7 Pot sauce this week also. Neither plant has many green pods left on them.

Picking pods
Picking maters
Picking cucs and making things like this with them...

Off to clear paths, trails, setup cams, adjust stands, trim trees and clear shooting lanes

Setting gopher traps to get the little bastard thats tearing up my front yard! Also going to the hot sauce expo at the grove in anaheim CA on saturday. If any THP people from southern california haven't heard about it yet, it should be a blast. Chicken death wing challenge and free samples from 40 local hot sauce companies. And no, I'm not a promoter. Just really excited. Lol

Need to make some kraut today and maybe some sweet pickled radish similar to Korean danmuji. I cheat and just use a sweet pickle brine and stain the radish with turmeric as it weeps. Its more of a hybrid of styles than the real thing but its really tasty. The Japanese version Takuan is just too labor/time intensive when you want it sooner than a month.
