7JPN off-pheno - plant has green leaves with purple stems and huge thick walled pods. Basically same flavor as the 7JPN.

I've had them before, that is the first one that I've grown though. I made some killer salsa out of it and one that wasn't ripe yet that my two y.o. son decided to pick for me. This is number two that started to change today.

I think this was my heaviest Chinense. The scale is set to ounces, but I think that equates to a little over 29 grams. Scotch Bonnet Brown (PL). 2015

Damn that's a nice looking one. I have some seeds from those 2015. Might have to grow next year. They taste as good as they look?

Thank you very much! If I remember correctly, the flesh was more leathery than crispy. Deep, earthy flavor. Heat on par with a Chocolate Hab. Here's a pic of the inside of a different pod from the same plant.
