Great looking sauces, do you sell it locally? I live in the south suburbs too.

Legally I can't sell them because i'm not licensed and they aren't FDA approved but I do accept donations from friends and coworkers to defer some the costs involved (though it's still just a money pit  )

I wanna like your post, but that isn't the right "feeling".  Let us just say that Sad Panda is sad for you that your hobby is such a money pit.

And where is the freaking Sad Panda emoji?

Sent out a handful of packages past two days. All out the voodoo priest and steaksauce now. Im thinking about starting a ferment. Got a bunch unknown red hybrids that are all really hot. All had purple folliage. Reaper x ? , giant congo yellow x? And bbg7 x? Probably crossed with yaki brown

Did you save seed from them and are you sharing it, if you did?

Asking for a friend. :drooling:

Just tried that voodoo priest! Its pretty hot, but not too bad. Right where I like it actually. I'm usually not a big fan of ginger, but it was just barely standing out to me. Maybe the cumin and mustard balance it out or something idk. My wife said she really liked it too, and she said it was a tad hotter than my Country Bhumpkin.

I'm far from a qualified reviewer of sauces, but I think this is a very good sauce.

Had it on tacos

Lol, I hear ya. I can't pick out all the little flavors I hear some people describe though. And I don't have a whole lot of experience with different spices. I bought cardamom a couple months ago cause I had never heard of it. Still haven't used it on anything.

If you want the Siskel & Eibert thumb rating we give it 2 thumbs up.

Awesome, Im glad you liked it! I try to keep the peppers foward as the main ingredients when possible. I think the smoked bonnets shine a little in this sauce but it doesnt have an overly smokey taste. I dont think the mango and pineapple are even that noticeable in there do you?

I thought it smelled Smokey, but didn't taste Smokey. I actually forgot about they smoke aroma until you just said the peppers were smoked. It tastes fruity for sure, but neither stand out. I need to try it again and try to taste it better.

I've never used it. Or done a ferment. But I hear that it works. Or you can bake in the oven at 200° I'm pretty sure.

Might work for the glass but my self venting lids are plastic and silicone I believe. I didnt get around to it last night. Hopefully tonight I find the motivation.

Did you try any of the other sauces yet? I need to make another batch of the steak sauce. This time with fig and more peppers
