Cpr color variants

Anyone know if cpr is throwing off colors yet? I think I got one that's putting on peach colored pods. I'll take a pic once I get a new phone.

Now that is cool and would love some seeds or pods.  Can trade.  Its probably an unintentional cross.  But it is still cool that a red pepper (either primo or reaper) threw some chocolate / brown pods and then the Chocolate / Brown pods threw some peach pods.  Would love to grow it and make jokes about how next year I am hoping for yellow.

I have two CPR plants.

One is making dark brown pods, the other is making red pods.

I would like to see pics of the Peach CPR.

One day there's a red pod amongst the yellow pods, and the strain goes full circle.  RYPCPR?  ; )

I will post pics tomorrow. The plant in question has a few pods partially-fully ripe. The first pod on the plant wound up being a moldy pod so it seemed more peach color. The others that are coloring seem to be more of a orange color.

Since Mr. Taylor was considerate enough to name the thing CPR (Chocolate Primo Reaper), lets just run with that to skip the whole is the reaper is a rebranded primo argument.  We'll call it the PR to describe the shape.  I know there is a yellow PR because I grow it.  I -think- there is an orange PR, but have not grown it.  If someone has seeds for orange and needs yellow, lets  trade.  Anyway, the yellow turns almost orange as it goes to rot.  I imagine the orange gets orange long before rotting but figure it might get more redish as it rots.

I don't think it is a stretch to think a seed source counted CPR seeds after YPR (see what I did there? seeds and one got stuck to his finger.  So maybe it is a yellow PR that got mixed in.  Just a thought.  So lets see if we can count the PRs

CPR
YPR
RPR
OPR

Thumbs up to Mr. Taylor for giving us the new way to describe the shape.  I do grow reaper and primo of different colors as different lines, but I am culling for the same attributes so each year they look more and more alike.  I think other folk have been doing the same.

Right on and thank you for playing.  But shouldnt there be a green Primo / Reaper in there before we go back to red?

Here are the pics of the pods. Left 2 are the cpr. Right two are from the orange colored plant. Unfortunately the peach color was due to the mold. The other pods on the plant look orange. I'm not sure if it's a genetic mutation or accidental cross but I think it's a keeper. She will get dug up and put in my grow room. I'm going to cut it open and check her out.

I'll definitely trade/give seeds to the community in a few weeks when they are ready. This community has given me soo much info/support/seeds it will be nice to be able to give back.

Those look awesome! Really love the color on those… great shapes as well and plenty gnarly and wicked looking! The shapes look pretty consistent so it may just be reverting back to inherent character traits of the original parent plants in the cross instead of actually being a new cross with something else attributing to the new expression of color variation (can’t say for certain…).

Perhaps a peach will appear sometime, or even one more pinkish color... that would be awesome!

Great job – keep us updated, these definitely piqued my interest!

This is in my Glog also, but my batch of 10 CPR Seeds direct from Butch produced one plant with completely off pheno red pods that just happened to be one of my keepers. If someone else had shown me this, I would have sworn they mislabeled it. It also doesn't look like anything else I grew this year. Ripening stages were Green > Orange > Red.

Another friend of mine that had one of my CPR plants from that same batch of seeds produced more true to pheno chocolate pods with tails...

The pods I'm going to pull seeds from.
Any chance you could part with some of these seeds? Very impressed with your pods!

I can not believe I am going to say this but some of you guy are making me jealous.  Especially the Orange CPR or is it a OPR.  All of my CPRs turned out chocolate.  So I am jealous that I bought seeds that grew true instead of giving me some weird.
