Spreading the heat

I was walking my dog today, and I decided to take a detour. On my way back I walked past a house with a lush green garden. I could spot the pepper plants from across the street (who here couldn't), so I took a closer look. The whole backyard was filled with our beloved plants. It looked like they knew what they were doing for sure. So, I decided to pack together some cool seeds for them in an envelope and put it in their mailbox. I'll add a note with a link to this forum: 'From one pepper lover to another'. Let's see what happens. Maybe we'll have a new member soon!

Thanks people, I hope they like it and drop by the forum :) I'm going to drop it in their mailbox tomorrow. I was planning to add seeds of 5 different varieties, but I ended up going with 9. Whoops.

I added: Cheiro Roxa, Scotch Bonnet MOA, Ethiopian Brown, Lemon Drop, Aji Angelo, Small Orange Thai, Red Rocoto, Brazilian Starfish and Hogsweed F2.

It is an awesome gesture but if I did that in my town, they would probably call the cops. lol

Careful, I'm pretty sure it is illegal to put something in someone's mailbox

I can't claim any knowledge of Dutch postal regulations. But if Walchit's comment is a possible issue in your country, you could always simply mail the seeds to the address. Wouldn't be anything wrong with that.

I've never heard of that being a thing before. We delivered our own Christmas cards by hand all the time.

Hands down the coolest thing Ive read in a while, just awesome!

You can definitely pay postage and mail it to them. I wouldn't think the risk of Getting busted would be very high, but still I've heard it's a federal offense to mess with mailboxes in any way

In the US, it is a No-No to do anything with the mail.  In the Netherlands, might be different.

I think it is cool that he spotted the plants and wants to share.
