OK, I need to know about the middle light.  What is it?
Diy LED strips. On some plywood with sheet metal. It has a roll of cool white, a roll of warm white, and a roll of rgb+cw.

All of the colors are on separate dimmers, even the cool whites on the multicolored strips are linked in to the cool white dimmer. It's powered off of a 150 watt Xbox 360 psu.

I actually have the green turned off now, idk if that helps anything or not. I'm pretty sure it is pulling 77 watts

It was a lot of work, I heard about lights being dim at the end of strips so I ran wires off of each strip instead of Daisy chaining them together. Idk if it was really that important, but I didn't want some strips to be dim. It seems to be working as good as the t5 and t8 from what I can tell. They all have different plants under them so it's hard to determine. The t5 plants look the worst, idk if it's cause I have 3 4100k bulbs in it or if it is coincidence.

T8-128 watts
T5-216 watts
Led-77

At least for early development I would say led strips work well

Makes sense since lights wired in series will have more resistance than if they were wired in parallel. The longer the chain, the more resistance.

I probably could have came up with a cleaner way of wiring this, but I underestimated this build and was just ready to be done with it. Never used hot glue on a project before, I kinda liked it for keeping the wires from getting too crazy

Edit, forgot the picture lol.

You could simplify it by tying them all together (same polarity together for parallel) and run a single pair of wires to a single dimmer.

You would lose the ability to dim each color individually though.

Walchit, you are awesome.  Really great job.  I am envious and have had plans for a long time to do some DIY (some day I will).

I wouldn't hesitate on using green - it has better transmission than other wavelengths (deeper leaf and canopy penetration) and has been shown to boost growth when combined with other wavelengths.  This is just speculation, but it might help you branch more (if more light is penetrating to meet the node buds).
(I'm a bio guy with a particular fascination with light and plants.)
