Train has arrived with some fresh pods! How cool is that? That’s a real treat considering up north here in Massachusetts we are months away from seeing anything.

So now that it has wrapped up, when would everyone want to get this rolling again? Fall? Sooner?

Last Time it was around October 1st.
It’s late enough to get seeds harvested, and early enough to start them for the next season.

I like the timing last year.

People need some time to get their harvest in and get their seeds thoroughly dried.

Nice short answer...

I guess I should have asked if this train includes countries other than US.

I am part of a regular tomato seed train, and it certainly does work.

It’s just super expensive to ship a package this size international, plus I’m sure there would be permits needed. It’s one thing to send a legal size envelope, but this is far larger. That would not be fair to anyone who expected to spend around $7.

Then the shipping time could be up to 2 months each way, so figure 4 months for the package to be unaccounted for.

No permits are required for any type of seed to SA, but I certainly do get the expense issue...

Our tomato seeds are all standard envelopes, not small packages,

I have had two shipments of seeds from AliExpress confiscated by the USDA.  They send a note saying it has been done and why.

New to this forum and new to pepper growing. Going through all the threads.. and this is an awesome idea. Loved how everyone participated.
Hopefully I will be old enough(4 months) by the time next train starts. If not, I can wait for a year more.. not a problem.

Thanks for organizing this Jeff.
