Comfort Food Thread

Searched and found one 7 years ago and instead of activating a necro thread with dead photobucket links I thought might start a new one. Winter here so probably gona do some sweet stuff :D
 
Had a craving for eggs lately. Rye bread/tomato with a slab of Havarti, Golden berry hot sauce and harissa sauce.

Grilled hogshead snapper, wrapped with lettuce, herbs (cilantro, culantro, peppermints, rao ram, perilla leaf), rice paper, pickled salad. Diced up a Bahama goat pepper for a little heat.

First time trying this fish. It's light and flakey and delicious!

Much better than the last time i tried, Served it Lu Rou Fan (Taiwanese) style over rice but there wasn't much "Lu" to it. No hard boiled egg either but oh well. A little LaoGanMa, dark soy,, rice wine and vinegar for dipping the scallion pancake. I cooked that just for Texas Blues to see.. :D One of the things i added this time was blood orange peel. I dried it a couple months ago.
