looks like a tasty lunch snack to me  :drooling:  :drooling:

anything else mixed in with the carrots ?

 carrot slaw like ?

was it like; just their juices, and seasoning?

Or, like with dressing, or was sauce mixed in,after pic, and no dressing needed ? Just a pile of shredded carrot ?

I guess it doesn't matter b/c looks delicious

Yup, I put some ACV that has cayenne soaked in it, and sesame oil drizzled on top of the carrots. Was going to make some mayo but did not have the time.

Buffalo chicken legs, it's whats for dinner!!!

Chicken legs marinated in Cajun Chef hot sauce, seasoned with Chupacaba and a light dusting of flour baked at 425F for 50 minutes. Served with roasted potatoes seasoned with my homemade Tony's type blend with bell peppers and a simple salad with Ranch.

OH YEAH, I killed that!!

Cuke and onions de dulce :D

6 small slicing cukes from the farmers market. Weep in 1 tsp sea salt and 1 tsp sugar for 30min or until they bend in half

W2XuMm0.jpg

Slice up around a cup of red onion very thin. 4 Bolsa de Dulce sliced thin and seeded. 1 tsp fresh baby dill

y5bxNMt.jpg

Discard liquid from the cukes and squeeze them out 1 handful at a time.

Add the onions, peppers and dill....B Starfish are also killer for this....Any sweet low heat works great

1/8 cup cider vinegar

1/8 cup brown rice vinegar

1 Tbs white balsamic vinegar

2-3 tsp sugar

Additional salt is totally optional. Its also good no salt at all and very sweet or very sweet with habs/bonnets.

3jwHfCh.jpg

Toss them suckers in the fridge for a few hours then enjoy.

Lady at the farmers market makes them salt free but very sweet and no dill. She also adds tomato. I use burr gherkins or slicing cukes most of the time but small pickling cukes work just fine too. The Korean and Japanese version of cukes and onions is also great. Mainly just add some soy sauce and a little sesame seed oil.

I made an okra gumbo, no roux just smothered okra for the thickener and added 2 lbs of shrimp and diced up chicken thighs. OH MAN is this good.

I know it's hot and not gumbo weather but why did God schedule okra to be ripe the same time Fall shrimp season is kicking off?

Served with spicy pickled mirlitons.

Home made corn chowder with a new sauce. I am trying out PepperNorth's Blueberry plague. I am sure others have tried it. I find it mixes nicely with the corn flavour. Then the scorpion peppers double you over. Sure beats Worcestershire sauce!
