Hello from So Cal - Cypress

Greetings !

Getting back into "planting"/gardening and bought some "birds eye chili at the Farmer's Market, and I thought it was going to be dead after a years, and Lo and behold, after three years it is still producing. Pretty amaze. So I bought two Orange Habanero, two Black Cobras, one Ghost Pepper, and one Trinidad Moruga Scorpion.

Well, I like watering them, and my Scorpion and Habanero did not like it at all. They started wilting. I thought they love water. Until I learned from searching that they love their soil dry, and only needed water when the soil is completely dry.

So I trimmed the main stem and placed them in water..for about a week, and placed them in vermiculite in an enclosed Ice chest to root them. I am hoping they last, because I couldn't find another Scorpion plant at the swap meet where I bought them.

The other ones are doing much better.

Glad to have found this site and hope to learn more about Hot Peppers.

The hottest pepper for me is the Ghost, and I don't dare try the Reaper.
