Hi from Pretoria, South Africa

Things are looking good in my little "Nightshade" garden +/- 8m/2 garden bed........Chillies are super-happy, but somewhat slow. Tomatoes are growing and fruit-setting like MAD THINGS and the Aubergines have started growing wings!!!! The non-nightshades (Zucchini / Baby Marrow) are also producing prolifically!!!!

I think my Green Tiger Zucchini/Baby Marrow plants are on drugs.....this is every 3 days harvest, so Linda and I get our twice weekly fresh greens from garden to plate. And yes - they are DELICIOUS!!!! the 4 plants are starting to put out more and more.......so we'll soon have to start sharing!

With the exception of 6 x Chilli plants in containers (4th image down, the 6 x black containers - 3 on left and 3 on right marked PdP - Pimiento de Padron), everything else was started using the "paper towel" method on 4th August 2017, and as soon as germination occurred moved to germination mix in seedling trays or polystyrene cups for a few weeks before being planted out into this bed on 20th September. The Zucchinis were germinated in around 3 days, tomatoes in 5-7 days.....and Chillies from 7-23 days.....so hugely different germination and growth rates in identical circumstances and growth mediums. As a 1st timer.....this is a hugely interesting little labor of love! LOL. Just trying to refine watering programs for everything so that when I go on fishing trips.....life goes on.
