Wrinkled pods in superhot varieties

Hey there! It seems a lot of (maybe even most of) the superhot varieties tend to have some degree of wrinkliness. Is this coincidental or is there a connection? Or are they just bred that way for a scary look? Could you have a superhot with smooth pods? Or very wrinkly pods without any heat? Questions, questions...

I know there are smooth bhut phenos and the Butch Ts seem pretty smooth. I've not seen any wrinkled sweet or mild peppers, but I haven't really looked for them either.

Many bhuts are smooth skinned.

Awesome, I didn't think of bhuts at all. And I'm definitely a bhut guy, not a bhuub guy.

Would be cool to see a very wrinkly sweet pepper.

I have also grown many morugas, mostly chocolate ones that could be classified as smooth skinned.
