Marble Cascabel?

So I was going through my seeds and found some old marble cascabels from years ago. I doubt the seeds are even good anymore but when I do an internet search for the variety, only a couple results come up and they're all the same picture of a marble colored cascabels. I also found them under the name granite cascabel but with the exact same picture. Is this a legit variety or just some "diseased" pepper that someone is trying to pass off as legit?

Oh wow, I remember that pic from some time ago.
Looked quite interesting to me and I wanted seeds but didn't and still do not trust %99 of ebay seed sellers.
I would throw the whole lot on a paper towel and see if any germ.
Seems the seeds are still available on ebay too. EDIT: I was wrong says soldout

p.s.   If it grows true I want seeds

It's just very odd that there's only one picture of it. The exact same picture that was used when I bought the seeds 8+ years ago. I learned my lesson a long time ago with ebay seeds.

I'll probably just end up throwing these away unless someone wants them. I'm already up to my eyeballs in seeds to grow next season.

Shit, I'll take em and give em a try. Lets trade?

I would be happy to just give them to you buddy. Wouldn't feel comfortable trading something that I have no idea if they'll even germinate. I have like 20 seeds though so you might get lucky with at least one.

Was it the picture of the dried "marble cascabel"? I feel like it was just dry and moldy and someone was trying to hock it as marbled. You know how people get with ripping off others with seeds, especially when something is considered rare. For example, people charging 8$ for 5 carolina reaper seeds when it was first released wide spread. Especially since the only time that I've seen other peppers with interesting variegation on the fruit it's either a one off mutation that was cloned and grafted over and over like the Striped Holland Bell or an old-world heirloom like the fish pepper.

That would be the one. Interesting picture but questionable, nonetheless. Would love to see what these actually grow out to be.

The home art project in the background with nearly the same color orange spreckles????

    :metal:

Still I wanna see what comes of it. Even if it germs and its a regular cascabel, I'll still dry it and use it and be happy.
