One or two plants?

I was getting ready to pull all plants due to frost when I noticed one plant looked like it had two different color pods on the same plant. One seemed to be lime green while the other is dark green. They both have little flowers with a little purple color inside. I was wondering if there is a way to tell without up rooting the plant or did two plants just grow to closely together?

It wouldn't be because they grew too close together. That would only affect the seeds. Maybe i'm misunderstanding the question though. Do you have any pictures?

Looks like it could be two different plants.. Did you put 2 seeds in the same hole and not thin them?

The pods look similar though. Weird. I have no clue then. Maybe worth overwintering it to see what happens?

Might be a weird branch, sometimes a whole branch will put out off-pheno pods. When you go to pull it, just check if it's attached or not. If it isn't it'll come right apart.

Thanks I tried pulling the two closest branches from the bottom and it seemed like one plant. I guess I will over winter and see what happens.
