[2017] If you could only grow one pepper.. which would you select?

By weight I probably eat 10 times the serranos than any other pepper.

Really hard to imagine life without serranos in it.
I really like Serranos, too... and they are more useful than any of these super-hot things we grow.

I grew the Hot Rod Serranos this year, and I enjoyed them in a couple different contexts... but I´m not growing Serranos next year; devoting more space to Jalapeños, for pretty much the same reasons why i like Serranos.... you can actually eat a pile of´m.

Hmm, this is a tough question and I don't personally have a good answer yet because I've only scratched the surface of the massive variety out there.

If I could only eat one type of pepper, then I would have to pick jalapeños. If I can still buy the generic jalapeños, bells, cayennes, and orange habaneros that the grocery store offers, then at this point probably the Chocolate Habanero to grow.

If I could definitely get them to set fruit here (with hot Summers), I'd definitely say Manzanos. Decent heat, absolutely amazing flavor, and they're super versatile. They're great raw, smoked, stuffed, powdered, in sauce, jellies/jams, salsa, you name it. I can't think of anything they wouldn't go well in

no way i could pick just 1  :snooty:

That's one of the great things about growing peppers in my opinion is how incredibly different they can be
so much so, that many of them could hardly be comparable even.
Nope, i want to grow as many kinds as i can handle taking care of every year   :metal:

Absolutely without a doubt Peach Ghost. So far I have grown and tasted the Pepper Lover Select and its amazing.. extremely hot yet a unique tropical taste a cant quite describe. Growing Wicked Mikes strain this year too and cant wait to taste it!
